Force India only option for Hulkenberg

Nico Hulkenberg has said that his only current option for a race seat in Formula One is with his Force India team.

After being dropped by Williams following a solid debut season, Hulkenberg joined Force India as a test and reserve driver, allowing him to take part in Friday practice sessions. With team principal Vijay Mallya saying he wouldn't be making a decision on the team's driver line-up until mid-December, Hulkenberg confirmed on Twitter that he would have to wait until then to find out if he'll have a race seat.

"[I'm] not sure yet," Hulkenberg said. "I hope I can race with Force India but the team will decide not before December, so I must wait."

Hulkenberg also confirmed to Auto Motor und Sport that his only option for 2012 was with Force India because "Everyone from Renault down wants to see money (from its drivers)."

Despite having participated in every Friday morning practice session so far this season bar Monaco, Hulkenberg announced he wouldn't be in the car in Singapore.

"I will not drive in FP1 in Singapore because the team wants to give Adrian and Paul more track time and I understand and accept the decision."
