Vitaly Petrov has called a press conference for Wednesday, where he is expected to be confirmed as a Lotus Renault GP driver for 2011.
A message posted on the Russian driver's personal website stated the press conference will take place at the Press Center of Television and Radio Russia
The statement, posted in Russian, said the event is to "summarise the past season and share his plans for the future".
Petrov drove alongside Robert Kubica for Renault in 2010 and the status-quo is expected to remain for next season. Kubica was the dominant driver last term, picking up 136 points to his team-mate's 27, but Petrov showed up well in the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi - finishing sixth.
