Not much between top three teams

Jenson Button thinks there is very little to choose between the performance of the McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull after all three teams were represented on the podium at the Hungaroring last weekend.

Button won the race ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso, but McLaren was first and second at one stage before Lewis Hamilton had a spin and made two extra pit stops.

Button is confident McLaren will still be in the hunt at the next round in Belgium after two consecutive victories.

"Our race pace was very strong, but I don't think there was much between us, Ferrari and Red Bull," he told his official website. "We've won three of the last five races and each of our major rivals has won just one apiece during that time, so we're doing something right. To win with Lewis in Germany and me in Hungary proves that Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is pushing, developing and challenging the cars around us with genuine pace in the car. Roll on Spa!"

Button added that he is not ready to give up on the championship yet.

"I'm 100 points behind Sebastian, so that's going to be challenging, but we like a challenge," he said. "I never give up, so let's see what happens. I'll take each race as it comes and then look at the points at the end of the year."
