Daniel Morelli – What's the latest on Robert's situation?
DM: I'm glad to say that Robert's final operation was a successful one, and the day afterwards he was able to move his elbow. That was a very important step, because Robert has now started the final step of his recovery. He will soon be able to move his right arm actively, which is a very positive sign. His recovery is based on the strength and, day after day, his right arm is getting stronger; his strength is improving, including his fist and his fingers.

Where does he go from here?
DM: This stage will last for four more weeks, and then in October we think Robert will be able to put a helmet on his head which will put out a real message of intent. Hopefully Robert will then have a chance to drive; this could be in a road car or a simulator. The most important thing here is that Robert will have achieved the last part of his recovery. I don't have any further concern on the outcome of his recovery because he is a hound when it comes to hard work and we're all remaining positive. The nerves still need to fully recover but I don't believe there are any concrete obstacles standing in the way. It is just a question of time.

How is he feeling?
DM: Well, he's certainly not depressed. Sometimes he's a little nervous because if you have a physical limitation it's normal to be that way. However, he enjoys seeing the results and I'm pleased to report he's in good spirits.
