Ricciardo expects to miss India

Daniel Ricciardo says he expects to be the HRT driver replaced by Narain Karthikeyan for the Indian Grand Prix.

Karthikeyan was confirmed in a race seat for India last month after securing sponsorship, but the team is yet to confirm who he will replace. Although Tonio Liuzzi was replaced during practice in Singapore and will be again in Japan his manager Enrico Zanarini told ESPNF1in early September that "We have a contract with HRT which includes all races, no exception."

It now appears that Ricciardo will be replaced, having told the Press Trust of India that he doesn't expect to be racing.

"I am not sure 100 per cent sure what's happening but at least I will be driving in the practice session", Ricciardo said. "When it (making way for Karthikeyan) is part of the deal and agreement, you follow it. I still have lot of races left in the season and you look forward to many more things when you do not race."
