Sauber has launched a Formula One e-book application to help the rebuilding process in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the country earlier this year.
The application, called 'You Are Connected', features images and handwritten messages from all of the drivers and team principals. It is available from iTunes priced at €0.79, with all proceeds going to the Red Cross in Japan. Kamui Kobayashi produced and funded the app, and said that the hard work for the country was only just beginning.
"Although the disaster attracted huge international attention in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami, other news has dominated the headlines since then," Kobayashi said. "However, the destruction in the country is so serious that it will take many years to recover from the losses and damage. So the people in Japan need long-term support. I'd like to thank all my colleagues in Formula One for their contributions and hope that our e-book sells as well as possible."
The app also includes action shots of every Formula One car, and will be constantly expanded and updated.
